It would be interesting to know how many XJRs Portfolio were produced (for the SV8 LWB Portfolio MY 2006, that was about 260, including about 150 in North America).
Also the X350 SV8 Portfolio MY 2006 was, from 2006 until 2008, replaced by the Daimler Super Eight (at least in the EU), first produced as X350 in 2006, then as X358 later on. That Daimler was only produced as LWB. Maybe in the US, the brand Daimler was substituted by Vandenplas.
Was instead the XJR Portfolio eventually abandoned when X358 replaced X350?

I don't have confirmed figures for the XJR Portfolio. The number 100 was used in some press releases, I would have expected it to be more than that but given the overal rarity of the cars (you don't see them often) it might be right.
I'm thinking now that the XJR Portfolio was never sold in the United States, which was the biggest market for the SuperV8 Portfolio. The markets that got only a few SuperV8 Portfolio's got the XJR Portfolio.
So far I know that the XJR Portfolio was sold in Australia, UK, Germany, Russia, Canada. Maybe some other markets too but these are the ones where the cars have been seen for sale. These same markets got very few of the SuperV8 Portfolio.
Here are some pics of an Australian delivered XJR Portfolio https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...rtfolio-91453/

You can add Japan to the list as I have seen a few that have come from there for sale here in New Zealand. They also have a Supercharged Sovereign which I assume is the equivilent of the SuperV8. I have seen three or four of those, both pre and post facelift e.g.:Originally Posted by Cambo

Hi everyone, Yes it will be a genuine XJR Portfolio, they only made 100 of these for the UK market only, if they are found in other country's they would have been imported special orders, I found mine in Japan.
the Portfolio super V8 was also sold in the US, so there were more of those made but still very limited numbers. The XJR Portfolio is the rarer car and the silver is an even rarer colour as most were black.
I know this is an old post but if you see one again, SNAP IT UP!!
I have only had mine a short time. I was lucky enough to get it for a reasonable price because know one really knows about them yet, plus its an absolutely beautiful car in looks and as a drive.

My car was ordered in Japan and the build sheet specifies 'no rear badges'. Perhaps for some reason, the Super V8 standard badging was disliked in Japan. My car had badges applied, probably by the dealer, with XJ8 L on the left, and SOVEREIGN on the right. I have photos of an identical car in Japan with the same badges, and as you say, they pop up here in NZ from time to time. The VIN decodes as a Super V8 and I'm not going to change the badges. BTW, The TradeMe listing has expired.
