I'm trying to figure out which model this Jaguar XJR really is. It kinda looks like a Portfolio. Did Jag make a Portfolio that year?

it certainly is a special edition...the wood grain surround on the above homelink system and sunroof controls. I know the xjrs can get the most of the options that the VDP / super V8s get, but not too sure the wood trim up there.

It also doesn't look like it has XJR brakes. Is that what the 07 XJR calipers looked like?

Not a Portfolio for sure, but it is an odd ball. The satin finish wood (as seen standard on on '06 Portfolio) was an option for XJRs, so that bit makes sense. Maybe if you specified the optional wood you also go it on the roof console. The red seat piping is strange. Not Portfolio, I haven't seen that either on an '07 XJR...... only on the later facelift X358s.

Also not XJR wheels. But it is a SWB, so not a Super V8. Shifter surround does look like the real Portfolio one, which is available to buy, but insanely expensive.

It was discussed in this thread....

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...surround-9980/

I think the price tag frightened people off and the thread died.

If you want the real thing, you would need to go to a dealer.

Looking back at the original car posting, maybe this guy got extremely lucky and found a wrecked Portfolio and took all of the wood (and the aluminium shift surround). Obviously the cars are rare, but I imagine they will get wrecked at some point.

Here's the results of the VIN decoder. Says it's an XJR. VIN Decoder - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
