Default Ignition Switch pushed into dash Help

2004 XJ8
while i was cleaning my windshield i hit the key with my leg,looks like i broke or detached something back there that was holding the switch in place,how do i get back there to see and fix,anybody ever had to deal with this,any help appreciated

Hi Albert,

Here are the part diagrams for the ignition switch and the dash/fascia:





You will probably need to remove the knee bolster and underscuttle for access.

thanks don
i took it to the shop and got it fixed,they got at it by taking off the cover on the steering column,they said i didnt break anything they just put it back together,all set,that key is in a bad place and its long,have to be careful not to hit it with your leg/knee
