Default Issue with Throttle Valve Control Motor

My X350 breakdown and I was recovered by the AA. They said the issue was the Throttle Valve Control Motor. Can someone please let me know if this is a easy fix. The car is in the garage just not and they done know what's wrong with the car. Any advise would be very helpful. Thanks ben

Could you please specify what engine your car has, and when it was built? Maybe adding the last 6 digits of the VIN?

Then we would be able to give a better diagnosis.

Thanks and best regards,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it.

The car is 3Lt Petrol V6, 56 plate. I don’t have the VIN to hand as car is in the garage getting looked at.

I would appreciate any advice you could give me.

Thanks,

Ben

It could be as simple as the motor connection crumbling which is not unknown
othwise you should scan for fault codes
