Default Lock the doors with the alarm off?

Is there any way to lock the doors without setting the alarm. Ever since I replaced the rear door speakers I get an error message "Passenger Door Open" (all I removed was the wiring harness connector and the inside door handle actuator) and a couple of times the alarm has gone off by itself. The first time it went off the error message dis-appeared. Like a big dummy I removed the door panels again (to change speakers again) and the error message re-appeared. A couple of weeks later the alarm went off again but this time the error message remained. I'd like to either...

1) lock the doors with the alarm off

2) dis-connect the audio portion of the alarm

3) figure out why the error message appeared in the first place

1 and 2 are temporary until I have time to fix it or pay some else to. I park close to my neighbors and it must really bother them when it goes off. As always, thanks for any replies/ideas.

Gene

The door open/shut sensor is integral with the door actuator and is wired via a small triangular plug and socket

on the actuator.
Two wires run along the outside of the actuator to the sensor.

You may have a problem with this wiring or the connections.
