Manually fill air ride???
Im in a bit of a pickle. I gave a buddy of mine one of my xjr's to use and the transmissions TCM shorted out somehow in a storm and its been sitting since. In that period the air ride has slowly leaked out. I need to get the car towed to a station however its near impossible to move.
Is there a way to manually fill the system? Such as through the rear reservoir tank?? Not lookin to diagnose anything, just get the car of the ground.
Thanks
Damon

It keeps blowing the fuse which powers both the transmission and engine computers. So that's not an option. It wont start. I pulled the computer under the cabin air filter....Was completely dry. And fuse still blew.
Some of the Harbor's floor jacks are pretty low, to get under some of the lower, sport cars.
Then it put dolly's under the wheels, to pull onto tow truck.

Left side in front of the wheel behind the bumpershroud is the compressor . The very thin black I guess 4mm) tube is the one you could use to fill the tank. Just an idea
no promise. I have never done it . Rather wait for better answers

Hi Damon.
Different car but on my wife's P38 Range Rover I disconnected the airlines to the four air springs at the valve block and rigged up a schrader valve to each. Then using a compressor I pumped up each corner to the right height and drove it around like that for a couple of weeks till the compressor was fixed. I'm sure I've seen a post on one of the forums about rigging up pressure gauges to find faulty air springs on the X350, Maybe it would tell you what fittings are needed, If this isn't possible I think the car should still be capable of moving on the bump stops, I've driven mine a short distance till it pumped itself up.
Hope you get it sorted.

Damon,
Install a metric Schrader fill on each strut and fill manually to 100 ft lbs in each strut.
It will last a while.
I maybe able to supply a pic of what was on my last XJ8 before I fixed the compressor.
Parts easily attained at auto parts store or big box depots.

Where do you put the Schrader valve on the strut?
I don't think using the line off of the air compressor would work, because you can't be sure the valve on the line from the compressor to the tank is open. For the same reason, even manually connecting the air compressor to 12 volts and running it might not fill the reservoir. And even if the reservoir had pressure, if the engine won;t start, will the air suspension module even behave correctly and let air into the struts?
