Question Modern Navigation CD For A 2004 XJ8

Hi all,
I've recently figured out how to set up the navigation in my 2004 XJ8 Vanden Plas. Ever since the car was given to me I was not able to figure out how to get the system working, until I discovered the navigation DVD system during a deep clean. It currently is running a 2003 map CD. Where can I get a working modern-day CD to update the map system? Things have changed a lot in my area since 2003 and I'd like to actually be able to use the navigation. Thanks everyone!

I don't think anything later than 2012 was ever available for X350 Jags, and that was 200 bucks!!!

Sheesh, $200 is quite steep for a map CD. Guess that's the Jag Tax. Hopefully there's some on Ebay for significantly less. Thanks!

That price is from the company that makes the nav discs, not from Jaguar, and they charge that for the maps they make for every car their systems are in!

Not sure if we’re allowed to talk about it or not, but surely there have to be bootlegs or something out there right?

I bought one 6 years ago for $50. Try the search function.

Not bootlegs, but used discs on eBay are generally available. Still old maps, though. There was nothing newer than 2011/2012 for the X350 cars.

Dealer supplied a hand-written CD with my car. Would that be genuine?<cough>
Hell, I'm not a policeman and didn't know for months anyway. Paid $150.
2003-->2012...why bother. Enjoy it 95% of the time and have your cellphone ready.
