You find the replies to your post by returning to your thread, which has the title "My right front airline connector for shocks." The replies will follow your post, as Graham's and mine have done. You can also choose the option in your control panel to have the newest posts listed at the top of your thread.
If it's the brass air line fitting that is broken, you can order a replacement from a jaguar dealer like jaguarmerriamparts.com. You can search for part numbers there, or download and install the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog from this forum. See the instructions at this thread:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...uctions-48194/
If the threads on the fitting have stripped, you may have to see if you can repair the threads in the air spring/damper (the shock absorber assembly) and replace the fitting.
If the leak is in the air line (the plastic tube or pipe), you may be able to simply cut a short section off the end of the line and refit it. The Jaguar X350 Workshop Manual explains how to do this beginning on page 258 of the Chassis section. You can download all six sections of the manual from this forum for free at the following links:

The manual specifies the use of a special cutter for the air line, but if you are careful to use a very sharp razor blade and a guide of some sort to get a good square cut, you may be able to do it without the special cutter.
I would also recommend that you search for posts by our member abonano in both the X350 and S-Type forums. He has done a lot of work on the air suspension fittings and has posted some very helpful photos.
The torque specification for the air fittings is very low - just beyond finger tight.
Cheers,
Don

this is a photo of the part im looking for. It came from my 2004 xj8 air shocks air line end on the front right passenger side. im terrible at describing parts.
can anyone tell me what it is and does it come with the shock? the little piece is broken off from the end. thanks
I wouldn't think you need a whole new shock just for that little part. Jaguar have used standard air line fittings so getting a replacement should be fairly easy, although a Jaguar agent will charge top dollar, but a lot less than a shock !
How on earth did this little item get broken ? I tend to think of over-tightening as it looks like taper-fitting spark plugs that can suffer the same syndrome..

I have converted my car over to coilovers and still have the lines and the front shocks. I'll take a look at the parts and see what I can find that will help fix the issue and we can work out a small deal. I'll PM you once I've had a chance to look at the parts in the morning.

Hi jojo12,
I believe that is the valve that maintains a minimum pressure in the air spring. I've just checked the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC), which you can download from this forum, and Jaguar does not list that valve as available separately. I believe it comes installed in the air spring/damper assembly, so it might be worth checking with Bilstein to see if they can supply a replacement.
Is there no chance of repairing the threads?
Please keep us informed.
Cheers,
Don
