Hi guys, I was going to buy an updated DVD from ebay but a friend told me there are ISO images I can download. I've been looking around for an updated version to download and cant find it anywhere for my XJ8. Ive found from Europe but not USA, ive found for XK8 but not XJ8...been searching for two days and nothing...if anyone has a link for a 2011/2012 map update for a 2004 XJ8 please help! thanks guys!

 

I downloaded one of those updates last year; it was not compatible with the DVD player ...

 

I got my update from navigation.com. Works fine.

I purchased a similar disk from an outfit in California that claimed the disk was compatible on 2002-2012 nav systems, did not work in mine. If I recollect, it had to do with the Nav units and when they were manufactured.

 

Appreciate the link, ordered a disk and it was working at about 15 seconds after I installed the disk! I was planning to go on a drive as a few others have done but I didn't have to leave the garage!

 

Wow $53 compared to the $175 I paid to the other EBay store is a great deal, the only reason I bought from nav.com was they had Hawaii maps that the factory disc did not cover. I was hoping the new disc would allow programming while driving but it does not.

 

just got the xj 2011/2012 usa/ Canada nav disk from Bonanza....$75. usd worked great! could not make the " ioffer site work.

Yeah, I need to get one. I don't have a problem with the $200 price tag, but I do live in Las Vegas where everything is constantly changing and it is already 3 years out of date. Just some insight on this, I work for a navigation company and our systems use NavTech as a base map which is what most manufacturers use and the absolute most recent information directly from them is already a year behind.

 

Can you get one for the US with an English accent? I was disappointed that ours has a rather generic lady's voice.

Did you use it in your 2006 SV8?

 

Once you have downloaded the navigation DVD does He need to stay in the DVD player in the dash?

The navigation disc has to be loaded into the Navigation Player in the trunk.

It will not work in the CD player in the dash.
