Need advice looking at a 2005 XJR
I will be looking at a 2005 XJR with 65k miles on it next week. The asking price is $17,900. I know these cars have a great reputation but I would like the forum members to give me some known spots on these cars that could be problem areas. Any advise is welcome. Thanks in advance
Pay special attention to the air springs and the evenness of the car. If it is not even it could be a sign of a bad air spring or worse. So the suspension is a weak spot with so many miles. You might even bring a tape measure with you before you buy and measure pavement to fender, to the creases of the bumper and various points around car.
Thanks for that adivice I ended up passing on that car but did use the tape measure and found a 2005 Super V8 with all the options in mint cond. for $12600. Had it inspected and all they found wrong was a pass. torn wiper blade. Thanks again!
Hi saternV
I know the one you are talking about with the bad headliner. Its about 20miles away from me. I passed on that one too. I ended up getting a Onyx white and ivory interior Super V8 with the VDP package in pristine condition and with optional 20" Sepang wheels
