Default Need help identifying coolant hose please

Hey everyone,

Had a coolant hose rupture today. It is the lower of the two smaller hoses that have a special fitting/connector on them. It is the hose directly below the one in the picture with the "T" on it, left side engine bay. connects to a metal rail. Looks similar/has same fitting/connector on it as the one labeled with a white "T" will try to attach pics on my phone

Looks like the lines to the heater core. Passenger side of the engine bay next to the engine itself?

Thanks Torrid,

Yea passenger side of engine bay two similar looking hoses with similar fittings on them connecting to cylindrical tubes. Is that the heater core? The hose that ruptured is the bottom of the two similar houses that both plug into those cylindrical long tubes.

I'm having troubling finding it online. Does anyone know if the connector is integrated into the hose? It doesn't seem to be a separate part but I cant seem to find it online with the same connector/fitting.

I think Torrid is correct and those hoses feed metal pipes that connect to the heater core.

The wire-clip fittings are definitely part of the hose assembly, so you can't just use standard heater hose.

One of the hoses may be Part 10 in this diagram. If it's the hose you need, the part number is C2C1984:

You can view the diagram and the part numbers and order the hoses here:

Here's an additional diagram from the Electronic Parts Catalog, which you can download and install from this forum:

If any of those hoses looks like the part you need, let me know which one and I'll look up the part number - I'd list them all now but it's way past my bed time and my eyes are crossing.

It would be best to call Jaguar Merriam to be sure you order the correct hose(s) because the parts are different for the normally-aspirated and supercharged engines.

If accessing both or all of the ends of the hose is as difficult on your car as it was on our XJR, you may want to consider replacing the other heater hose and possible more while you're at it. On our car the coolant reservoir had to be drained, disconnected and removed, so I replaced all the hoses under it and both radiator hoses while I was at it. Jaguar Merriam discounts the prices so they're not terribly expensive.

Cheers,

Don

Thanks Don,

Appreciate all your help over the years. It looks more like part #5 or #6 but yea I should just go ahead and replace all those hoses. Going to inspect them all and replace anything that looks old. Cheers
