Default no fuel pressure

No pressure in the fuel rail2004 xj8 has fuel in the rail when I push the pin, but does not have any real pressure behind it. Does anyone know how to check to see if it is the fuel pressure regulator that is causing the lack of pressure or maybe you know what else to look for.

If your lucky it might be a clogged fuel filter. Otherwise, it's a failed fuel pump. Check all associated fuses for the fuel pump.

Listen for a 2 second woosh sound when turning ignition to run.

Then check for at least 10.5V at the harness at the pump with ignition on. If you have good voltage your pump is done.
