Orange leak
I have a XJ8 and, it has a leak of anti-freeze, the mechanic who put in a new transmission said it is a hose. I took pictures today and, I hope to hear or read some ideas or a video to watch to get this fixed. Also, low coolant warning appears but, it has fluid, I checked it..thanks a bunch friends.

I see you have had no replies.
I am not familiar with your Jaguar model.
I am guessing that bolt with the orange stuff around it is on the new transmission you had installed.
To me that "leak" does not look like coolant since it is a thick build up. I may be wrong.
I cannot tell from the pics as to whether there is any more of that orange stuff further away from that bolt.
If it is coolant then it should smell like coolant. Wiping some off with a damp cloth and smelling it might help in whether or not it is coolant? Is it the same color as coolant in the coolant reservoir?

Hi elic9,
First of all, please tell us the model year of your XJ8 to help us give you the most accurate suggestions.
Like jackra_1, I find the appearance of that orange fluid very odd...too thick and viscous, and not quite the same orange color as the Dexcool coolant used in many modern Jaguars. Perhaps it has been leaking for a while and has built up this thick residue?
Given that you have a low coolant warning but the fluid reservoir is full to the top mark, my assumption would be that you have air trapped in the system and the system needs to be bled. How to do that will depend on the model year of your car.
Cheers,
Don
