Default "Passenger Door Open"

So, finally got around to installing new rear door speakers/tweeters but now I get the Passenger Door Open error message. Haven't a clue what's generating it. I've removed/installed both door panels numerous times to no avail. Is the wiring connector the offending device? The cable that actuates the door locks? Something else? On older cars there was a push/release pin in the door jam that actuated the interior light and warning light/buzzer. How is the error message generated on the XJ8? What do I look for that may have been re-installed wrong or adjusted improperly?

Any help is, of course, appreciated.

Gene

There is a door open /closed sensor integral with the actuator in every door.
There is a rectangular socket on the actuator for the wiring connection and
above that a separate triangular connection (3pin) for the sensor.
Only two of those pins are used .
You should be able to see it with a torch and there must be a separate plug for that socket.
