Anyone know the size/type of the p/s return hose? Jag only sells it as part of the complete cooler assembly (typical), I just want to replace the hose between the rack and cooler with standard hose. I assume it's a standard type of hydraulic hose?


Edit: apparently at one time Jag did sell just the rack-to-cooler return hose as C2C35056, but this is NLA. Would be easier (and cheaper) to rebuild myself than source OEM.

 

Taking it off, to see what the size is, might be your next step.

 

Original part is discontinued but Parts Geek or URO brand. Parts Geek also carries Genuine brand at twice the price. Also on eBay.

Yes I also saw that URO makes a replacement, but I've heard they're the Dorman of Euro car parts.

Definitely, I will eventually just take the old hose off and measure, but was hoping someone would know so I could order stock hose and do the drain/refill once. I can't imagine I'm the first one replacing this!

 

The rubber portion of the transmission to the radiator lines is 1/2 ".
The P S may be the same size, a quick measurment of the lines will tell.
