Programming Liftmaster Gate controller
My '05 x350 works fine with my Genie garage door openers, and worked so-so with my old GTO Mighty Mule Gate Operator. We replaced the GTO with Lift Master's LA500. I've been able to get my other car's garage/gate controller to pair with the LiftMaster. But I can't get the Jag to work. I've tried everything. I've used a dip-switch remote, as well as a rolling code remote, but no luck. I've pressed the learn button on the gate with no luck.
I'm wondering if the frequencies the X350 uses is incompatible with Lift Master. I'd really be surprised since Lift Master is the standard (all of the gate companies I contacted about replacing our damaged GTO operator only install Lift Master; they don't touch GTO (self install)).
Anyone successful? I've tried programming multiple buttons; I can reprogram the Genie garage doors to any button in the car, but not the Lift Master.

Will do. What's weird is that there is both dip-switch based (fixed code) and roaming code support on the liftmaster gate controller. My genie garage door openers are both roaming code and program with no problem. The Liftmaster came with four dip switch remotes. Since I couldn't program the jag with the dip switch remotes, I purchased a liftmaster roaming code remote, programmed it to the gate, and then tried to program to the car with no luck. I then tried programming one of my garage door openers to button 1 in the jag (the garages are buttons 2 and 3) to make sure it wasn't a problem with the #1 button, and it programmed with no problem. At this point, I'm thinking that maybe the liftmaster is operating on a frequency that the jag doesn't support. So I'll see what they say.
