All hoses were purchased from the wonderful folks at Harper Jaguar and some did not come with clamps. Thankfully, the nipple is metal & I was able to tighten the clamp a wee bit more. I ran her for 30 minutes with the paper towel underneath and, so far, all is good. If there were a crack in the nipple, I think it would have manifested since I did not change the hose position. Hope springs eternal!
As to the ACC, after having replaced the clock spring, etc. in vain, this has become an ego thing. I am convinced the answer will appear the same way a pair of gloves I've been looking for for 20 years were found hiding this morning. I have seen the threads on reprogramming the computer to bypass the ACC unit; I may ultimately give that a try, but not yet.
Since "She Who Must Be Obeyed" is threatening to have me buried in the car, it would be great to have her, the XJR in as good a condition as possible when that rapidly approaching day arrives! When my younger brother drives us into the hole, ...
