Default Radio Speakers Not Working

2004 XJR:

As you know, the sound system is great. However, I seem to be getting sound only from the right rear.

Any ideas what may be wrong with the others and how to get them working again?

Thanks,

Steve

Either:
1. Bad solder connectors on the speakers are a prominent issue.
2. Sound system settings (DPS) set to not play out of speakers.
3. Amp bad or U/S.
4. Connecting cables, maybe a D2B issue or a disconnect somewhere maybe at the amp.

Do you have a code showing device available?

Default Thanks Trosty; Settings-how do you access?

Forgive me for wasting your time.
I was letting grandsons, not old enough to read, play with radio while I was waiting for the Mrs. Low & behold, the little buggers had...

Isn't that what grand children are for haha.
Glad I could have been of help.

Oh, settings can be adjusted via the "mode" button.

in my 2006 XJ8L only one door speaker out of the four is working?? i find it hard to believe that all have solder issues.. the dash and rear shelf speakers seem to be working. could that be an amp?

If the Amp is broke, there will be a DTC code thrown I believe.
The only way to check the solder unfortunately is to take off the door panel to view the speaker.

Abuse (loud playback) can kill the drivers in the door. Pulling a door panel is not to bad. Pull a non-working and hook up a working speaker. If it plays replace all four.
