Anybody know of a good deal online for a replacement fuel injector, please (SNG Barratt's deal has finished)?

 

Do not get ebay chinese knockoffs!

 

Have you tried using an injector cleaner?
They are also able to be removed & cleaned.

I needed a replacement quickly and fitted an used one then bought another couple of used spares

from the UK via E bay.

Interesting that your no 8 failed and my no 7 injector and coil have failed.

We need a louvered bonnet !

Btw the V8 ones are orange and the V6 green.

Meirion1, even more interesting when you consider that a year ago my number 7 injector failed!

At the time SNG Barratt had a deal on new replacements at GBP 40 (no longer available). So this time it cost me GBP 104 for the injector and GBP 20 for shipping.

Have you had generally good results from buying used injectors?

Also, a while back I read an excellent post on this forum (I thought I had saved its URL in my Favourites, but cannot find it now) which listed loads of Ford and other parts that were interchangeable; anyone kept a shortcut to it, please?

By way of example, nearly a couple of years ago I bought a used Ford Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor from the same company you gave a link to above and it has worked fine?

 

I have had very good results with all the used spares I have bought.

These days a perfectly good vehicle can be written off with not much damage

and not a huge amount of mileage on the car also dealers will give a warranty on used spares.

One exception has been the boot lock-they don't last very long and I have tried to repair one.

I am pretty sure I know how to repair it but getting it back together is very difficult.

Probably need to make a jig to reassemble.

They are rare used and prices have gone up. I hate to think what a new one costs!

I have bought two of the used Fuel Injectors on the site you gave.
Given what you say from experience, I have every expectation that I will find this minimal cost beneficial in the long run!
