Well, here it is, the long awaited list of cooling hoses for an 04-05 4.2 SC engine. This is the list of all the hoses I replaced on my 05 SV8 and the part numbers (I think I got them all correct). Also, I've mentioned which ones are the same (or pretty sure are the same) as for an 03 STR (good for the NLA parts). I didn't put any prices since they have changed since I got them and can change based on where you get them from. If it turns out I forgot something, I'll make sure to update it. Also, there are some hoses somewhere in the HVAC system I didn't change (another 2 w/o rear air and 4 with it I believe) that aren't included here but they are attached to the long metal lines running to the front and/or rear heater core and look like a real pain to change, not to mention pricey.

C2C19596 – Main hose/drain tube from header tank/aux coolant pump (Same as 03 STR)
C2C1984 – Hose from thermostat housing to heater core lines
AJ811771 – Thermostat housing to header tank bleeder valve input (Same as 03 STR)
C2C10872 – Hose from header tank to somewhere on one of the many rads (Same as 03 STR)
C2C10866 – Lower rad hose (Same as for 03 STR)
C2C16212 – Upper rad hose, NLA from Jag (Use the 03 STR part instead - XR851818)
AJ811638 – Elbow from block to thermostat housing (Same as 03 STR)
C2C18160 – Intercooler intake hose (Same as 03 STR)
C2C18161 – Intercooler outlet hose (Same as 03 STR)
C2C10869 – intercooler pump hose (Same as the 03 STR) *This part is actually the same number for the STR too, but NLA for all cars now. Didn't replace it cause I couldn't get it. Still looking for one but it seems to be in good shape so no rush.
AJ88548 – Throttle body to EGR hose (Same as 03 STR)
AJ89746 – Hose under the supercharger (Same as 03 STR) (everyone’s favorite hose!)
AJ88507 – EGR to Thermostat housing hose (Same as 03 STR)
C2C12952 – Aux coolant pump to thermostat housing (Same as 03 STR)

Now this list is basically the same for the 06+ cars, with just one or two hoses changing I think, so you can use it as a good starting guide for the newer cars too.

This is great, thanks. Should be a sticky!

I have the rear HVAC option on my XJR. Hoping I never have an issue with those hoses...

Thanks abonano! Ya, I also hope I never have to get into the rear HVAC system too, but I might have too as I think the rear heater core may be slightly plugged. I recently replaced the front one due to no heat on one side and it was packed full of who knows what, and the rear is showing the same symptoms. But I'll cross that bridge when I have to, and so far I don't have too!

One correction to the above about similarity to the 03 STR:

C2C19596 is NOT the same as for the STR, it is specific for the XJ. On the STR this hose goes to the DCCV (I think), and since the XJ doesn't have that wonderful DCCV, the hose feeds right into the heater core lines (again, I think!)

This is also why there are a few more hoses on the STR, as having the DCCV adds two or three hoses.

This is an awesome writeup, if only I had found it *after* compiling the same list for my cooling system refresh. LOL. I am stumped on one part -- the lower return hose, I cannot find any replacement for this hose and the hose ID's on either end are not the same. Has anyone found a substitute for C2C10869? Mine is in OK condition, but not great. I tried a 90 degree + 180 degree hose but I havent' solved yet for the hose ID differences.
