Hi,

I just bought a 2005 XJ8L. It has a microphone above the center console, but no voice or Bluetooth. For Bluetooth, I decided to go with a BlueAnt Commute as it was much cheaper and no intallation is necessary. Awhile back, I read on a forum that someone had successfully installed a voice module from an S type in his XJ. I guess it can be done. S type modules seem to be available for much less than the XJ module. Ebay has some 02-03 S type voice modules for around $45. Would this work? The best price on an XJ module is $199.

Does anyone have any experience in this area? Do pin settings have to be changed? Any advice or information on the matter would be appreciated.
