Sensors in Rear View Mirror

I'm thinking of swapping the mirror with one that can be used with a reverse camera. The OEM mirror has two sensor ports. Does anyone know what they're for? Compass and light for auto dimming?

Auto diming for the headlights (as well as auto on at dusk), and auto diming of the rearview mirror from bright light coming from behind you.
