Question Sports or comfort suspension?

I have tried VIN decoders, but cant seem to find anything with suspension. I have a 2004 Jaguar XJR, and i need to replace one of the rear shocks. I'll be doing it myself since i can get the part cheaper online than through a dealership. I just dont know if i have the sports or comfort suspension. I think its comfort since it's an XJ series, but since its the XJR i am not positive. The VIN of the car is SAJEA73B74TG00614 if that helps anyoine. Thanks guys!

your car has sport suspension. I would caution you about replacing the shock yourself. It is my understanding that there is a 'puter that must be connected to the car to set the ride height/air suspension properly and without it, the ride height will be messed up until the 'puter is hooked up and calibrates the system properly.

There are instructions in this thread from Steve11 which explains how to get round that problem if you are careful.

It is worth reading the whole thread for other tips.

I've done plenty of work on cars before, but it is all on 70's muscle cars. I am thinking about seeing how much my local mechanic will charge bc this is more complex of a car than I have ever worked on. But thanks for the help!
