Top bolt is a problem, took the motor mount out, & replaced alternator at the same time on mine.

Long extensions were used to access it.

The top alternator bolt is also a problem, it has a wire in the way.

I have never done it but you may be able to do it with a curved spanner.

Thumbs up

Curved spanner, never thought of that one, that just might work.

Thank you all for the response. I tried changing starter with car up on car ramps and decided to get a starter and alternator and took it to a long time friend and fellow mechanic should get it back in a couple of days. Safe driving everyone

Yes i did both at the same time too, but waited till i had use of a lift.

Even then, & with some help, it was not that easy a job, glad it's done now on both cars.

They all seem to need a good bit of maintenance caught up, & with needed suspension parts.

I did go to Harbor Freight and found a set of S wrenches (under $20.00) my mechanic said starter change under 20 Min also had him change the Transmission cooling Hose.
