Hello. Been reading through here since I bought the car, first time posting.

2004 XJ8 VDP with touch nav

The steering wheel controls for the stereo have been flawless up until my most recent drive home from work.

The volume + button currently changes to the next preset station and the volume - button turns the volume level UP.

The talk button (as I have no voice or phone installed) mutes the stereo as expected and the select button changes the source still.

The only thing that I did that I tried undoing and made no change, was to turn off the station labels (mdp?) because the constantly shifting station labels were making my ADD twitch.

Any thoughts? Is this an easy fix or something I may have overlooked that I did prior? I was messing around with the iPhone cord in my center console earlier in the day trying to track it down to see if it was hooked up to an audio module (plays on FM so I want to know how they set it up) could I have bumped a cord or something? Is there a reset?

Any advice with this would be great because THIS will REALLY drive me crazy.
