Recently I noticed that my sunroof on my 99 xj8 was leaking from a small hole in weather strip. When trying to pinpoint problem I accidentally pushed too hard breaking a piece from the inside frame. Motor is operational lid is in good shape I believe I am in need of a new assembly track frame etc... This has proven a problem as I am from small town IA finding parts any suggestions on where to begin my search would be greatly appreciated

 

Same type of problem Jaleaf..Had the hood lining replaced and they stuffed up with the sunroof. Same car as yours. Only people willing to try have been British car breakers (we call them wreckers here) I also live in a remote area and the nearest jag dealer is 400 kilometres away. I've googled for parts and found british Parts somewhat helpful but after 12 months I have not resolved the problem. The inner panel has detached from the sunroof rendering unfit for use. Keep looking on the "net" and good luck. I would really like it fixed with summer about to start (Australia). Cheers,Neil
