Swap engines?
My jag is a 3.0 Xj6 X350 2005. And i am planing to buy a suppercharged engine to replace.
Can anyone tell me who done that before and what should I have to prepared?
I guess I need an Engine, ECM, gauge, full lenth exhaust or a part car.
would it works? Actually I dont know how to do this by the reprograming.

Normally the recommendation would be to sell the 3 litre, and buy another car with the 4.2 litre V8 SC, but as you're in Taiwan, there are possibly not many Jaguars there. What you want to do is not impossible, but quite difficult. The electronics will be the most challenging, I think. The rear axle ratio may be different, so you need to check this too. Gearbox is the same on all models.
Yes, to buy a 4.2sc is the best way to do.
But In Taiwan, only few jaguar with 4.2SC.
Taiwanese goverment charges the Tax by according it's engine capacity, so thats why 4.2 is more expensive than 3.0 per year.
Our Motor Vehicles Office only registered VIN and carried what size engine is, but no engine serial numbers on their database.
So I am planing to swap a 4.2SC on my 3.0 Jag body.
Just done some research, the rear ratio is not the same but could fits.
I guess the best way is to import a 4.2SC from Japan and than swap the engine.

柯瑋宗 ,
Getting away from your question but something that fascinates me, what does 柯瑋宗 mean in Taiwanese or on a Taiwanese keyboard? It's certainly a challenge to type on a western QWERTY keyboard.
