Tacky surround to cup holders
Our 2006 XJ has gorgeous walnut everywhere, except in front of central valance storage box where tacky felt edging continues exposed around cup holder apertures. Has anyone considered / achieved a neat walnut surround solution for this? A guy - John Adamson - classic car wood (0425 224 610) (Australia of course) has offered to create one (price not yet known) but I wondered if other owners may have solved this issue? or in fact, is ours missing something?
For general knowledge to those so inclined, we just had ours 'two toned' by application of vinyl printed to look like old ivory colour textured vinyl to roof and pillars. If you want to see what it looks like, email us camelliahouse@iinet.net.au Cost $450 at Uber Graphics. I know its not to everyones taste, but I recall loads of old jags so treated in the 70-90s. I think the Jag lends itself to two toning.
Third point; Can anyone recommend a good alloy rim to suit these Jags? ideally, I'd like polished outer rim as part of makeup? I like the look of the borbet WH10076892
