Default This is what a bus up your 'Jacksy' looks like!

Didn't realise that whole rear panel under the chromed 'boot release blade' was plastic (over aluminium) until this happened?

Ouch!
Still a bus could have done a lot more damage than that...

Thanks Paddy, I braked slowly approaching a pedestrian crossing to allow a young lad on a bike to cross in very, very heavy rain (In Dubai...Let's hear it for global warming)!
Drivers in Dubai have no concept of driving more slowly and leaving bigger gaps in heavy rain, or if they do, they want no truck with it!!
The bus very nearly shunted me into the lad crossing the road; thankfully, the impact drove my foot down even harder on my brake pedal and my car managed to stop the bus (and me) before he shunted me through the cyclist on the crossing!!!

Sorry to hear & see about this awful misfortune befalling you & your Jaguar.
Hopefully a trunk or boot lid & rear bumper in your color is available to you.
For a reasonable amount & insurance takes good care of you
At least you can still drive the car, until the parts are sourced.
Best of luck to you my friend.

Hi Ray,

Sorry to hear this. I hope you are ok and hopefully the car can be returned to the way it was without too much problem. Hopefully the issues are mainly cosmetic and not structural.

Thanks,

Chris

Bad luck old boy.
You have an LWB in a very nice colour too.
I hope you can get it fixed and please let us know how it goes.
I suppose living in Dubai makes repairs a bit more involved.
