I drove my XJR the other day for the first time in probably 6 week.
Then drove it again a day later and discovered a very small pool of coolant on the garage floor a short distance behind the passenger wheel and in a bit.
This has never happened before. So I put the car up on ramps and had a look around underneath.Could not see anything untoward.
However what I did find was the transmission plug had transmission fluid all around it. It was loose!
I replaced the pan about 6 months ago and thought I had made sure it was tight. Maybe I did not?
Anyway tightened it up and will check in a month or so.
No sign of any coolant leaks.
Thought I would point this out to those who have replaced their pans just in case.

Next time you see a puddle, check along the trans tunnel as the hose under the SC leaks and drain at the back of the engine down the trans passenger side.Originally Posted by jackra_1

This is what I am afraid of and was my first thought when I saw the puddle.Originally Posted by Sean Wagstaff

I do plan on renewing the valley hose but not until this next Winter when I have moved back up to Massachusetts.
Not at all convenient right now as I am getting the house ready to sell!

Well In this great weather I have driven the Jag several times now and no sign
of any more coolant leakage. No sign of the coolant lowering in the overflow
tank either. I marked the level after the original leak.
So today I bit the bullet and bought a used Supercharger off Ebay.
I am going to send it away for a rebuild along with porting and a 1.5 lb pulley.
I have not decided on the company to do all of this yet and it will not be until later this year anyway. Then the valley hose and others get changed.
Then I will try selling my existing Supercharger.
