had the cracked upper nipple on the tank, after the epoxy didn't work i ordered a new tank.
the part came today and i attempted replacement.
took the top hose off and unscrewed the retaining screw.
as i tilted the tank and tried to access the bottom, i heard fluid start to leak heavily.
the more i moved the tank, the more fluid leaked.
it was not leaking from the tank or the connection to the tank, but at a lower point.
not wanting to break anything more, i put it back together.
just checked it and it is leaking in my driveway.
urgent help and suggestions needed.
please reply.

Sounds like the spider hose is leaking, this hoses connects to the heater valve, expansion tank, around the other side of engine and into a gold pipe. The hose also connects into a place "T" union that goes into the coolant hoses under the intake manifold. It's probably leaking at the union point. Replace the spider hose and union. Pressure testing the cooling system would be a good start, just to verify where the leak is coming from.

I haven't pulled mine out yet, but it certainly sounds like a hose just popped off or broke as you pulled on the expansion tank. Sounds like something I'd do.
Should be something easy to spot when you lift the expansion tank back off and pull on the hoses below.
Good luck!
