Searching the websites for a replacement car, I notice that most have a beautiful woodgrain/leather wheel, even on the base cars, but occasionally I see a wheel that lacks the wood entirely, even on the upgraded models. Simple explanation?
Hi PeteK812,
Very occasionally you find two cars that are specified with exactly the same options. Mostly, though, the first proud owner ticked some option boxes and unticked others.
My car is a Super V8, but doesn't have the Adaptive Cruise, the headrest monitors, sunroof, or heated front screen. It does have the heated steering wheel, climate seats, 4-zone aircon, and rear entertainment, and the 'smokers' pack' with cigar lighters and ashtrays. Depending on their budget, the first owner will have carefully considered what they wanted and didn't want. In a tropical country the heated steering wheel might be considered a bit redundant. Most of us aren't the first owners, so we are at the mercy of their choices, good and bad.
Below is a clip of the option settings showing steering wheels.
