Warm driver seat at last !!
Collected the car from the shop today, (an independent in Macclesfield). Last year they had told me there was no supply to the seat heater, but what with replacing the heater matrix that took all my repair budget, I just put up with it last winter. So I finally decided to get the job done. Fault was the thermostat built into the seat heater, so I needed a new one. These things are not cheap at £177 !! Now I'm now nice and warm sitting on the seat waiting for the heater to get up to temperature.
Only thing I need now is a heated steering wheel as the first owner didn't specify one when he ordered the car. Whether one can be retro-fitted, I'm not sure.

You would need to change the clock spring and the wheel
The heated wheel also has a module in the wheel, assuming you get a used wheel it should be included otherwise its part number c2c7505
The rest should be the same as you have the heated seat fitted

Thanks for that. Problem is finding a heated wheel. I found one on a Dutch website and he wanted €400 for it. Then you add in the other parts and it gets a bit expensive. I think I'll stick to my leather gloves for now ! I keep these in the hall next to the radiator so they're nice and warm when I go out to the car
