Can anyone tell me what this connector is for?

It is in between the amp and the module stack on the lhs trunk wall.

There is nothing like it on the other side of the trunk.

What does the inertia switch look like on an X350, and where is it located? I don't see a reset button so maybe not.

I think the inertia switch is up front in the side of a foot well.

At one time we used to have these things called CDs. And on these CDs we were able to store music and play it back in a thing called a CD Changer. 🤣

At least that's my best guess!

I still use CDs and have a CD changer installed in the stack.

What I am hoping is that this connector is for a DVD player for an ICE system. So far I have found several other ICE connectors.

Will not know for sure until I purchase a DVD player and am not quite ready to do that.

I have a complete set of seats being delivered today that are from a VDP with ICE.

Thank you for the response and also mikebaker.

The D2B ICE connection under the rear seat is "open" i.e no loop as was the case for the D2B connection in the trunk.

So it cannot be linked to any system. All very puzzling to me so far.

The wiring diagrams are of no help as they simply have the ICE components mapped out with nothing that would indicate a D2B link vs an electrical link.

When I look up yaw rate sensor on Ebay 2M5T14B296AC It looks a bit bulkier than what I am looking at. However at least one post in here suggest what I am looking at is the correct position for a yaw rate sensor although many more place it up front.

I need to take what I am looking at off carefully as the nuts look to be fairly fragile grounding point either side. At least one post in here says that is the position of the yaw rate sensor however many more place it up front.

Thank you for your response.

Ok the rear ICE D2B connection is linked to the ICE connection under the rear seats.

All my next posts will be in the Multi Media post if anyone is interested.

From the workshop manual it matches the drawing of the Vertical Accelerometer (one each end of the car).

The oddity however is that the 2004 and 2008 Electrical Guides both describe it as being on the RHS of the trunk/boot.

Edit: however the 2004 Technical Guide shows it on the LHS !
