white smoking like crazy!
a couple of weeks ago i accidentally got caught up in race. im already a fast driver but i do not drive my car hard being that it has 200k miles but i never had any struggles with power. while driving on the freeway i saw two cars racing, so i hit the peddle to see the outcome. after going at high speeds the other car figured i wanted to race too so i said why not. shortly into the race the other car took the exit off the freeway. with the next few miles my car went into “restricted performance”. i then noticed my car was making white smoke. after returning home i pulled in the garage the next day i went for a quick spin, my restricted performance reading went out but my white smoke has not stopped and i have a small rough idle. i know its not a blown head gasket, my coolant hasn’t went down and my oil isn’t milk. i was thinking i have some clogged injectors. i hooked my ob reader up but no codes are given it reads “follow repair solutions instructions at PC to transfer data” i dont know what that means. so i come to the experts. help me guys! attached is a video i revved to 2500 rpm.
Does it smell sweet or like gas at exhaust? Could be stuck injectors and fuel wash if you are smelling gas. Should have codes stored. Wouldn't drive it until you know for sure and get it fixed. If it smells sweet it's likely a head gasket even if you haven't noticed a lot of coolant loss or milkshake yet. Could just be a small leak for now. Worse case, a cracked blocked or cylinder but doubt that. Have you taken off the radiator overflow cap and look for air bubbles while someone revs the engine? Or you can get a head gasket test kit. But if you have a strong gas smell then I would agree with stuck injectors.
This may be a total misnomer, but years ago I had ridiculous white smoke out the back of my 2005 XJ8L...Turned out to be a crack in a transmission clutch drum, that 'locked up' when it heated and expanded?
Here's hoping this is not your problem, 'cos it means Trans out?

no sweet smell, no milky oil, coolant is fine. no air bubbles either. i also been watching my oil consumption thinking it can be bad rings. i have never changed my fuel injectors either so that’s what made me think it would bad injectors.
Like xalty said the white smoke points toward the pcv. But also check the air tube from the air cleaner box to the throttle intake. If that tube is loose at the intake it will throw white smoke out the exhaust pipes at a huge rate.

Not sure about the white smoke, but restricted performance and misfire could be plugged cats. Had that happen to me after a speed run, also on a Texas road. Should see codes for random misfire.
