Has anyone had their wipers (2007 XJR), while set on intermittent or rain sensing, stop on the windshield rather than returning to the bottom of windshield.

The Jaguar dealer replaced the motor previously for a similar problem. I've taken it back again recently for this problem and they couldn't find or fix the issue. Any previous knowledge on this subject would be much appreciated.

 

I had that problem a few hours after I purchased my cat, found the problem was a bad relay (R4 or R8, can't remember which relay it was).
I switched the relay with a known good part and it worked...

 

Thanks for the bad relay comment. I wonder if anyone has experienced the same fix?

 

I have also had the same issue on my 2007 XJ8L. After several trips to the dealer, while under warranty, they finally replaced the motor assembly which finally fixed it. About 1 year later it started again and they replaced the motor assembly yet again. My adviser stated there were known problems with the motor assembly.
