Default Wobbly Wheel

2004 Vanden Plas I need to replace my front left hub. There are so many choices, all different prices. I see Beck/Arnley often as well as Koyo and then there are numerous others (not nearly as pricey). Does anyone have experience and or advise in this area. Scary vibrations.

Hi blackrose8222,

Search the forum for info on hubs offered on eBay by Detroit Axle, which have received good reviews and are exceptionally affordable. Also, Timken, SKF and Koyo are all long-time Jaguar OEMs so their hubs would be of excellent quality, but probably more expensive. Many of the hubs on eBay are listed only for the S-Type, but as far as I know the X350s use the same part.

Here's one of the Detroit Axle listings on eBay, but please don't take my word for it that they will fit your car - please confirm with the seller:

Pair of 2 New Front Jaguar 2000 2008 s Type Wheel Hub and Bearing 2WD w ABS | eBay

P.S. My understanding is that Beck/Arnley are a packager/re-brander along the lines of Üro Parts and make few if any of the parts they sell. If anyone knows differently I would love to know, since their headquarters is not far from me.

P.S.S. And if I haven't said it already, Welcome to the Jaguar Forums!

Cheers,

Don

I bought a Timken from Rock Auto for under $100. The tone ring and ABS speed sensor were included. Fit & works great. I was concerned because the price seemed low, but everything worked great.

I just checked and Rock Auto also have Beck Arnley for $132 and Fahren for $146. Based on the Timken I bought, there shouldn't be any reason to spend more.
