Can anyone tell me if the wood trim panels, in particular, the door trim, from a long wheel-base car like a Van Den Plas will fit the short wheel base car like the XJR? I'm thinking of changing out my entire "grey" wooden trim from the XJR to the "brown" wood trim, which I have always liked more than the "grey" wood. Was there ever a "grey" wood trim steering wheel?
Also, what is the "grey" wood trim called and how many variations of wood trim were there? Thanks very much for any information about this.

There are different part numbers for SWB/LWB so I assume they are not the same size.
The Grey trim is Grey Stained Maple. Other options listed are Aluminium, Aluminium Weave, Burr Walnut with/without inlay, Elm Burr, Figured Walnut and Rich Oak.
There appear to only be Birds Eye Maple and Walnut steering wheels.

The rear door veneers are longer in the LWB, they don't fit the SWB.
I have seen some XJ's with the grey/green coloured wood on the steering wheel as well...(grey stained maple?)

Thanks for the information. Looks like I'll have to find the trim from a SWB then.Originally Posted by u102768

Thanks for the picture. That looks like an XJR. I recall seeing several XJR's with the black and red interior and this also has the "grey" wood trim. I wonder if the owner specially redid the steering wheel to match the "grey" wood trim. Mine just has a leather wrap and not the wooden steering wheel.Originally Posted by Cambo351

Thanks. I wonder why some came with the grey wood and others came with the leather steering wheel. Wonder if the grey wooden steering wheel an option? You should try the 3lb Eurotoys pulley :-)
