Can anyone tel me where the toolkit of a Jaguar XJ8 4.2 Super (2004) is located in the car?

Many thanks in advance.

As far as I know the car does not have a tool kit, there was not one in mine, I just keep an early Jaguar tool kit form the XJ40 range in the boot, left over from mine many, many years ago.

There was never a tool kit for the X350 cars. SNG Barratt list one for the X300 series, the last of the straight six-engined cars which seems to be the last car to have it as an optional extra, the X308 V8-engined cars did not have it listed either.

Nowadays you don't even get a spare wheel and jack unless you ask for it !!

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards from The Netherlands,

Hendrik Thijs.

It's unexpectedly nice to see Russian weapons in Texas. The X350 doesn't have a tool, but it does have a travel kit and a set of fuses in the plastic trunk lining.

Yes, the X350 does have a very bsic tool kit, at least mine does, just look at the picture posted by Jackra_1.

The tool kit comprises
- the jack
- the "wrench" fro removing the wheel nuts
- a chock
- the towing "eye"

I don't remember if there is more.

Best regards,

Thomas

Isn't it a WWII relic Tokarev there? Interesting choice for Texas toolbox!

I collect antique and relic firearms, mostly when the cold war era countries were emptying their old warehouses and shipping crates to the US.

These old war horses are not as common in the 'bargain bin' surplus stores as they used to be.
I tend to hoard old Jaguar parts and other things. (my post funeral estate sale might be interesting)

Unfortunately, it is forbidden for private individuals to have such weapons in Russia. But there's pepper spray in the armrest, and an old Soviet sapper shovel in the trunk. The sapper's shovel has helped me out more than once. It is very sturdy and reliable. In winter, it is very convenient for her to chip ice from under the wheels and snow, and in summer you can chop small firewood for a campfire on trips to nature (or chop enemies of the Motherland))). I was using it once when one of the wheels got stuck in the sand when I arrived at the beach.

A stranger in the public places will think twice to insult/assalt another stranger as other MAY pack a "peace keeper." By itself it is a detterent.

What's with the second gun? This is PM, but clearly not Soviet. Hungary or Bulgaria? Very interesting.

I have been told stories of people converting shovels into AKs.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khyber_Pass_copy
Bend them, drill them and then rivet to repair AK47 receivers.

I've got quite a few deactivated soviet era weapons, I think you class them as demilled in the US. The weird thing is many of my non working guns would be very illegal in the US due to the receivers being intact mp40,mp44mg42 and so on would still be classed as a machine gun.
And to stay on topic the only tools in the x350 are for changing the wheels. I would highly recommend replacing the wheel nuts with single piece ones. The oem nuts have an aluminum cover on them and they do separate causing the owner to invent a whole dictionary of new and inventive swear words when the nuts wont come off at the side of the road.
