XJ 2009 electrical issue
Hi,
On my XJ 2009. The screen, radio, the air conditioner and all the buttons around the radio and air conditioning no longer work. In addition, the air conditioning exterior fan turns on at full speed as soon as the ignition is switched on and the air conditioning works without being able to turn it off or change anything.
This is due to electrical issue but I had no idea where to begin.
Any one can help please?

The very first place to begin is using a voltmeter to read the available battery voltage across the battery terminals with the ignition in the OFF position for at least 30 minutes. There must be a minimum of 12.6 volts showing on the voltmeter for all vehicle functions to operate correctly.
Has the vehicle had any body work or major mechanical repairs performed recently?

Battery is newly installed. I just buy this car and I think older owner may had accident and modified some electrical connection as I see can was tampered with by several people.
The car starts normally, you can drive with it without problems, the dashboard works as do the windows and sunroof, signal light everything is ok. it's only the air conditioning, screen and radio part that doesn't work (just stop working).
Thanks for your help.
Battery installed is not what he is asking. What is the voltage of the battery after the car has sat all night? What has been done to the car?
Can you DIY anything? If not I would sell the car now. This is just the beginning of a long and expensive road.

Well your in a good spot if you can DIY the repairs. That's the only thing that allowed me to keep my Jaguar.
Now we do have a current problem with the great links that Thomas posted above.
All the MediaFire documents have been removed and a majority of those links are now dead. It's a real shame but things happen. All the links to other threads on this forum are still good so it is the place to start.
Can you post the voltage? The number? Batteries are probably the number one problem with older Jaguar's and it is amazing what can be fixed with a new and properly charged battery. So we always start with that before diving deeper into the car. Who knows? You might get lucky.

Just because the battery is 'new' doesn't mean it's fully charged. Use a voltmeter across the battery terminals to determine available voltage.
