Default XJR car cover

I live in hot, humid SW Florida, and just purchased a 2007 XJR Portfolio. Can anyone recommend a good car cover that might last a few years in this climate? Many thanks for your suggestions!

I live in Tampa, FL. Heat index was 113 yesterday with the humidity. I have been through a few 3XL covers. My best recommendation would be a garage

No doubt you are correct! My problem is that my double garage is occupied by my woodworking hobby/business. You just can’t have it all!

Extend the garage for your Jaguar.
Better yet sell that woodworking stuff.
You need a safer more pleasant hobby
You can cut your fingers off, with woodworking tools.
TOO DANGEROUS.

All good thoughts, but I love the smell of sawdust in the morning!

Covercraft makes excellent, custom fit covers. They are not inexpensive but they are heavy, waterproof and block a lot of sun.

I was lucky enough to score a factory Jaguar car cover.

Nice. Very nice indeed. The Jaguar Branded Cover is something I have been wanting for some time. Would you mind giving a quick "review" and share your thoughts on it? Nothing crazy, but whether you think it will hold out, how good the fit is, and what sort of value it represents. Also: Did you pay close to list or were they fair in pricing?

Also: was it the one for X350/X358 or did you get an X351 cover? I would expect that to fit when since they are on the same platform and dimensionally similar even if the shape is drastically different. My windshield sunshade is form an X351 and fitss great vertically, but is narrower and leaves a small gap at the sides. I like it though and it is made really well, with good materials - 5-6 years and counting and its JUST starting to show a little wear. Think I paid $75 when I got it in 2013.

I found it on Ebay. I purchased it for my other 2004 X350, which I sold. I use it on my 04 XJR. I'm in the Northeast and I have to say it has held up very well to the elements.

It is for the X350/358 models.

Cover fits like a glove and has cut outs for the side mirrors. Build quality is excellent!

All in all a great cover.

Covercraft is what I have used for my MGs and now the Jaguar. I have used both the Weathershield HP and Evolution, and I would pay extra for the Weathershield. The Evolution leaves a lot of lint on the car, and is quite bulky. You can save a few bucks and get it through Griot's Garage. I would expect the cover to last 5-8 years before the sun gets to it. I don't think you can ask too much more out of a cover than that. Even though the cover is expensive, it is really easy on the paint, and sure beats the cost of a respray and re-upholster.
