Default 1995 X300 VDP Speed Control Problem

I have spent many an hour searching for information on the cruise control issues and have yet to find an answer to my problem.
Here is the back story...
For many years up until yesterday, every time the car is on the lift and placed on the ground and driven I get the dreaded Trac Off, ABS warning, Trac disabled lights. The cruise always works when this happens. Also when the ambient temps drop below 40F I occasionally get the same thing. A few months back I was exiting the highway into a rest area, parked, did my business and resumed my trip. At that point the cruise would not engage, no red cruise light.

Since then I have been off and on chasing the cause of this no cruise control problem. I have checked the pump, pump vale, dump valve, wiring, brake switches, cruise switches, wheel speed sensors, fuses, power, grounds etc. I have acquired a ton of data _voltage, ground, switch operation etc. I know the cruise led is good as I can via back probing get it to turn on. I did replace the cruise module temp. with a known good one. I am open to sugetsions.

As mentioned in this and a few other posts I made I have been dealing with an inoperable speed control issue that lead me into diagnosing ABS and Traction control problems that I resolved but still no speed control. Well, some times things may not always be as they appear. It turned out that whilst checking with meters, logic probe, lab scope and such that it is quite possible to miss the simplest item causing the problem. It was the speed control paddle switch that was the issue. Although during testing and back probing all manner of connections, switches and modules (including swapping a known good speed control module in the car) every thing passed with flying colors. But alas I still did not have speed control, not even the red led would light. It was a shot in the dark that I found a non TRAC switch panel assembly with the speed control paddle switch intact and went to swap it out. That is when I discovered a slight break in the original paddle switch housing. I swapped paddle switches and now have my speed control functioning.

Stay tuned for a nice write up on diagnosing and repairing the speed control using this system.
