Hi all,

bought a new remote off ebay and was trying to get it programmed. However, I couldn't even get my car into learning mode. Followed the procedures, i.e. open doors and boot, ignition on but without start engine, once the dash lights go out hit the valet button 5 times. I was supposed to hear a beep but i don't. I must've tried this 10 times.

At first i suspected maybe the car was in valet mode or something. But i could open the trunk with the dash, or the jag face button at the back, or the black key. All works.

Any ideas?

Hi Tim, yes I did. Tried a couple of variations, opened boot with dash button, key, boot button etc.
