Default 1995 XJ6 intermediate exhaust rot

Hello I have a bad intermediate silencer/muffler on my 1995 XJ6 X300 which is the underside muffler/silencer, just aft of the underfloor cats.
The part no is EBC9252
So... apparently those silencers are un-obtainium ...
Just wondering if they can be cut out altogether and bypassed with straight pipe?
In that case anyone know how much that will raise the volume level? (As in having actually tried that)
Also would the change in back pressure (by deleting the intermediate mufflers) cause any issue with engine intake / performance?
If bypassing the intermediates makes the car very loud or adversely affects performance, anyone know what a good sub for the EBC9252 would be?
TIA!

PS really don;t want to get used ones from ebay

Default no takers on this?

No takers on this? EBC9252 are resonators mis-described as mufflers/silencers? How about just bypassing these resonators? has anyone tried that?

Yes, I've welded straight pipe in place of the intermediate boxes on my XJR. The noise level is fine, if your boxes are currenly blowing, then you will get rid of that noise anyway.

No need to worry about any affect on the engine running.
