Default 1996 XJ 6 - Radiator fans always on?

Hi everyone,

Can any tech savvy guru fill me in? Should cooling fans (Facing radiator) be always onmy 1996 jaguar XJ6?

Mine are on, even when I start the vehicle and remain on ....

Dealer says NO, another reputable mechanic place that checked the "bulletin" - says Yes.

Kind thanks,
Mike

I always get mixed up on this but I believe yours is "original" operation which was later changed by a different wiring to the a/c pressure switch...or something along that line....to prevent it from running at all times.

I'll try to find the info if nobody chimes in with a concrete answer

Cheers
DD

Doug, this is a double post, he's sorted out. The bulletin bypasses an A/C pressure switch to enable the fans constantly. The issue centered around the possibility of a circuit fuse failure in original configuration.
