97 XJ6L - Need help locating the fuel lines
We recently bought this Jag at an auction, we know the fuel pump is dead. I have read and searched the threads, and while they all had great instructions none of them were for a 97. The tank is in the trunk, and while I have read on some vehicles that the fuel lines are underneath the tank, I don't think that ours is. I see what I believe are fuel lines on the left side of the tank. Am I wrong on that? We have checked under the vehicle and there are no lines that resemble what I've read about. So we need help, in getting the tank out at least. This thing is in there and won't move at all. Is the tank bolted to the back seat by any chance? So needing help removing a tank on a 97. This year of car hasn't been easy to research for some reason. Does anyone know where we can get a hold of a good manual? I keep seeing Hayne's, but would really prefer another publisher. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
P.S. When I say "We" I am talking about my husband and I. We work on cars together. So far we have done a 91 Audi 200, 01 Audi A6, and an 89 Saab 900 turbo. All were bought at auctions and were non-runners...all currently run great and love them all.

Hello and Welcome
Update: After I posted this information, I found another article on the internet that 1997 Jaguar XJ6 VandenPlas has the fuel filter is located on the near the driver side rear tire.
"The fuel filter on your car is located along the frame rail, next to the, and near the driver side rear wheel."
Also I found this diagram for 1997 XJ Fuel system (V12):

Now I am not sure of the correct location.
Here is an extraction from a forum thread posted in theX300 section of the forum:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...n-97-vdp-6047/
"Under the car on the frame close to the passenger side, rear tire. Follow the fuel line from the tank to the filter"
I know you are new to the forum. Your future inquiries on your XJ6 (X300) should be posted in the X300 section. The forum members in that section will be able to give you their hands on experience.
