Hello everybody:
I would just like to post this thread and get your feedback please.
I own a 1997 XJ6 VDP with 74,000 miles on her. And I am having an issue with my air conditioning. Everything was working fine and all of a sudden the two center vents stopped blowing. The two small side vents are blowing fine. There is a slight breeze of cold air coming out of the two center large vents, but it is not blowing hard like it was. I was wondering if somebody on this forum might have come across the same issue?
I truly appreciate everyone’s time and Input in this subject.
Regards,
Wayne.
The vent doors ( or trim doors ) have both a motor and a position sensor and the motors can be run with a 9 volt battery to the position you want assuming the motor is OK
You can actually hear them saving you from taking things apart
An overview of the X300 system is in the attached Doc on page 45 for the X300 and X308 , 78 for the center plenum containing the center vents in question and Z
There is a difference in the X300 and X308 in the center vent ( face vent ) on the X308 does not have the adjustment thumbwheel ( differential control potentiometer )
