AJ27 SC Fuel Pressure Release

AJ27 SC Fuel Pressure Release
Where's the valve for the fuel presure release on an SC AJ27 motor? I've been searching for a couple of hours and can't see it; hopefully, it's not under the TB !! There's a shroeder on the purge valve, but that doesn't make sense for releasing the pressure on the fuel system. (I'm in the process of replacing the fuel pump(s)) That's another question ... I've been told that there are two pumps. When I go to websites, it appears that there is only one; or, is that a dual assymbly? Enlighten me, please ... LOL
BTW, I ordered the front suspension spring compressor from SPX. It's scheduled to arrive next week (Wednesday). When I get done doing my front suspension, the tool will be for rent ...

The fuel pressure regulator can be found at the back of the left hand bank fuel rail, it’s relatively small. Just follow the pressure tube that is connected to the left hand side of the V8 outlet on top of the supercharger. The AJ27SC engine has indeed 2 fuel pumps, only the NA engines have 1. Here is helpful trick (see post 52) to get the fuel lines out of the tank (if you haven’t taken off the rear suspension that is, than it’s easy):

If you actually have a 2000 to 2003 XJR then this is the wrong forum. You need the X308.
Pulling the fuel lines from the tank will not be much less of a fuel spill with the little bit of fuel pressure still in the supply line but a quick press of the valve on the fuel pressure test connector on the injector rail will bleed off most of it.
I have never had to lower the suspension on the dozens of fuel pumps I have replaced on Jaguars from 1991 onward. The XJ40 had a simple metal clip but the X300 has a more difficult release connector. The only thing I disconnect is the handbrake cable for more access.
I have never tried to remove the lines without a car lift so doing it on my back might make it alot more difficult.
The reason you probably see one fuel pump listed is because the 2 are the same part number and you simply order 2 of the same number.
As for the spring compressor, there are 2 different ones, the long threaded rod for removing the spring and the shorter one for just holding the spring in place while working on the suspension components.
