Default Another door mirror thread!

1995 Sovereign 4.0L

My passenger door mirror auto adjusts to point to the sky. On first start up the door mirror controls do not function, but after a couple of minutes they start working.

I disconnected the battery to clear the memory settings for mirrors/seat/steering wheel but the mirror still auto adjusts.

I was told by someone it might be the mirror potentiometer at fault. So I began the search for a new mirror but then discover there are a number of wiring variations.

My unit is a 9 wire unit. Below are pictures of the mulitplug in my car;

Does anybody know which variations of wiring will work with my car. I don't mind if I don't have memory mirrors afterwards (although I don't even know if I currently have it?)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like you have memory mirrors, heated. But not powerfold. Check the motor itself first too. You can access it by slipping off the mirror. Those are relatively cheaper and easier to replace than the entire wing mirror. Sometimes the hinges that mount the mirror to the motor break and can give similar symptoms as you have described
