Antenna alternatives ?
I dislike the telescoping antenna purely for aesthetic reasons. Anyone tried replacing it by using a marine antenna run around the trunk OR disabling the motor to the antenna so if you just play CDs it doesn't come up? On my 2002 XKR coupe I simply had the power cord to the antenna disconnected for that same reason although in that case it was more visually at odds with the coupe's elegant curves.
I haven't looked at the trigger for the Jaguar, but most power antennas use a simple on/off 12V trigger wire to trip a relay to raise and lower the antenna. You could easily cut into the trigger wire and install a switch somewhere.
My dad used to do this on our old full sized GM cars so he could control when the antenna went up/down. They were prone to wearing out by breaking the nylon 'cable' inside (aren't they all?!) so he would leave it up most of the time.

I've often thought when I had the time to put a switch inline o the antenna to leave the basted thing down. I never use the radio, but usually Bluetooth from my phone (yes, I put in a new head unit)
Funny how I replaced the antenna mast a while ago so it would work properly, only to be annoyed with it later. I like the idea of a switch in the trigger line. Still haven't done it. Pulling the power to the antenna is a safe option too.
